Carolyn Rule Hurtt, 65, of 1005 South 25th Street, Lafayette, died at 2:45 p.m. Jan. 2, 1994, in Regency Place.
  Born May 22, 1928, in Carroll County, she graduated from Delphi High School in 1946 and moved to Lafayette in 1948.
  Her marriage was on Dec. 19, 1948, in Radnor, to Donald F. Hurtt, who survives.
  She worked at Alcoa for 11 years, was school secretary at St. James Lutheran Church, and did volunteer work in the church office.
  She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and Psi Iota Xi sorority.
  Also surviving are one son, Donald G. Hurtt of Zionsville, and a brother, Wayne E. Rule of Lafayette.
  Services were today at St. James Lutheran Church.
