Richard Wentzel - Class Of 1944

Services and burial for Richard Gordon Wentzel, 65, of Mountain Home, Ark., were Saturday there. He died Feb. 4, 1992, in Baxter County Regional Hospital, Mountain Home. Born June 10, 1926, in South Bend, he graduated from Delphi High School in 1944 and attended Purdue University. His marriage was on Nov. 9, 1951, in Battle Creek, Mich., to Eleanor Dickson, who survives. An Army veteran of World War II, Wentzel was a sales manager for Alcoa Building Products for 20 years. He moved to Arkansas from Carmel in 1990. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Mountain Home, the Camden Masonic Lodge, the Twin Lakes Shrine Club, and performed as a Twin Lakes Shrine Club clown. Also surviving are three sons, Richard Wentzel of Topeka, Kan., Robert Wentzel of LaFollette, Tenn., and Charles Wentzel of Fishers; four brothers, Norman Wentzel of Rochester, Allen Wentzel of Phoenix, Ariz., Leonard Wentzel of Mishawaka, and Wayne Wentzel of Brook; and a sister, Rose Clark of Lafayette.
