Helen Erb - Class Of 1928

Helen Erb

Miss Helen Erb, 20, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Erb, living five miles south of here, died Saturday morning at 5 o’clock at the family home of complications following an attack of pneumonia, which she suffered last November. Deceased was born at Delphi, Ind., Oct. 28, 1910 and departed this life May 2, 1931, aged 20 years, 6 months and 4 days. She attended the Delphi high school and later took a nurse’s training course, for some time being at the old soldiers home in Lafayette. All her life was spent in this vicinity where she has always been held in the highest esteem and her pleasant smiles and winsome ways will be greatly missed by her many friends. Her former classmates acted as pall bearers and flower girls. Why God called her home at such an early age to be among the angels is not answered here but her many friends can rest assured she has merely been rewarded in a better world. Surviving with the parents are a brother, Joseph, and four sisters, Thelma, Mary, Loda and Betty, all at home, her grandfather, Joseph Erb and grandmother Thompson. The funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock by Elder J. G. Stinebaugh. Burial in Maple Lawn cemetery.
