Minnie L. Martin, 99, of Delphi, died at 1:15 p.m. Thursday April 21, 2011, at Indiana University Health Hospital in Lafayette.

Born June 21, 1911, in Paris, Ill., she was the daughter of the late James Landon and Leona Kemper Smith. She attended Delphi schools.

She married Emery Martin on July 14, 1927 in Delphi. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Martin was a homemaker. She and her husband opened Martin's Used Furniture Store in Delphi in 1966.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerial 2570 and had been a member of Southern Comfort Campground in Florida City, Fla., since 1982. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, embroidering of pillow cases that she gave to close friends, going to McDonald's with her friend and neighbor, Dort, and going to Earl's Auctions in Indianapolis and other local auctions.

Surviving are two daughters, Betty Lou (DCHS 1958) and Claudine E. Martin(DCHS 1953), both of Delphi.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lillian Jean Yoder(DCHS 1946); and 2 brothers, Mark and Jacob Smith.

Private family services at Davidson Funeral Home, Pastor Ed Selvidge officiating. Burial at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Delphi.
