Robert N. Wason, 76, of Indianapolis, died Friday, February 8, 1980, at Louisville Suburban Hospital, Louisville, Ky. Born in Delphi, he was the son of William and Clelia Newcomer Wason. He was married in October 1933 to Bess Peacock, who died in 1974. A graduate of Delphi High School, Wason had resitted in Indianapolis for 55 years. He was employed 18 years in the Air Force civil service and in 1968 he retired as a packaging specialist at Allisons. He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, the Brookside Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and the Murat Shrine. Surviving are a son, Robert P. Wason of Louisville, Ky., a sister, Mrs. Charles E. (Ruth) Bowen of Champaign, Ill., and two grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in deatlv Funeral services were Monday at Indianapolis with entombment in Washington Park North Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the Faith United Methodist Church, 3000 W. 62nd St., Indianapolis.
