Wilber S. Blanchard, 86, of Long Beach, California, died at Walters Hospital there. Funeral services were there with interment in Greenwood Cemetery. He was born in Delphi Oct 4, 1883, the son of Harrie P. and Lou Speece Blanchard. His marriage July 2,1923 in Asheville, N. C. was to Maude DeWitt. He was a World War I veteran, a member of the American Legion, John Franklin Miller Post 37. He was an accountant. Surviving with the widow are three daughters, including Mrs. Terry Winter of West Lafayette; six grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and a sister, Josephine Blanchard of Delphi.
