Mrs. Bessie Sims Gardner, wife of C. N. Gardner, died at 6:40 this (Thursday) morning at their home in Peoria, Ill. The daughter of J. L. and Mary Sims, she was born and reared in Delphi. Survivors include three brothers, J Joe Sims of Houston, Texas; Jack Sims of Sacramento, Calif.; Don of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Irene Sims of Houston, Texas. The body will arrive Saturday morning at 9 o’clock and last rites will be held at the Blythe funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2 with Rev. Howard Jenkins officiating.
