Word has been rerelved here of the death of Miss Adelaide M. Cory at Palo Alto, California. Miss Cory was born In Delphi in 1864, and lived practically all her life of sixty-five years here until eighteen years ago when she went to Eagle Rock, California to be with her sister, Carrie, the late Mrs. Martha Post. She was a graduate of the Delphi high school and taught many years In our city schools. Just prior to going west she was connected with the Knlghtstown schools and since living In California has been connected with Institutions of that nature in Los Angeles and vicinity. At the time of her death she was matron at “Pacific Lodge”, Spadla, Cal. a school for boys from the Juvenile court. She was on a years leave of absenre to regain her health and underwent an operation for goiter which proved fatal.
