Pam Schwartz (Ryves) - Class Of 1964

Pam Ryves, 66, of Delphi, passed away on Wed., Aug. 7, 2013 in Summerville, SC. Pam was born to Robert Schwartz and Mary Margaret Hanaway on Sept. 5, 1946 in Delphi. She was raised by her stepfather and mother, Paul and Mary (Hanaway) Disinger.

Pam married Thomas W. Ryves on June 8, 1974 in Delphi. He preceded her on Mar. 27, 2012.

Pam retired as transportation director for Delphi Community School Corporation after 37 years of service as a bus driver and transportation director. She had previously driven a school bus for Hershey Elementary and East Tipp Middle School.

Pam was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi. She was a former member of the Psi Iota Psi Sorority.

She was an avid fan of Purdue Women's Basketball. She especially loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and her greyhound, Quick.

Pam is survived by daughters, Tammy (James) Lenk of Killeen, Texas, Teresa A. Howell of Summerville, SC; a son, Joseph A. (Jill) Miller Jr. of La Vernia, Texas; her mother, Mary Margaret (Hanaway) Disinger; her sisters, Wilma Jean (Don) Peterson, Patti Schwartz Wilson, Vickie (Curt) Dorton; her brothers: Ron (Pat), Mike (Ellen), Darrell (Brenda), & Rick (Diane) Schwartz; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Pam was preceded by her husband, Tom; her fathers, Paul Disinger and Robert Schwartz.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi, from 4:00 p.m. until the 8:00 p.m. vigil service. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi. Father Bob Williams officiating.
