Gerald P. Beaver, 48, of Lafayette, died at 12:55 a.m. March 21, 1990, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. He had been ill several months. He was born June 23, 1941, in Delphi. He was raised in Delphi and moved to Lafayette 25 years ago. He graduated from Delphi Community High School, and had worked at the former General Foods Co. for 10 years. He was a member of Brady Lane Church of Christ, Lafayette. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of VFW Post 1154 in Lafayette and the Delphi American Legion Post. Surviving are six brothers, Elmo B. Beaver of Flora, Thomas Beaver of Lafayette, Edward Cox of Delphi, John Cox of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Donnie Cox in Germany, and Bob Cox of Kokomo; and a sister, Brenda Lea Ball of Michigan. Services were Friday in Lafayette.
