Larry Clawson - Class Of 1960

Larry Junior "Abe" Clawson, 76, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 2:11 p.m. at IU Health. Abe was born on December 13, 1941 in Radnor, IN to the late Lawrence Alfred and Dorothy Mae (Ruffner) Clawson. He married Carol Denham on December 23, 1962 in Lafayette, and she survives. Abe worked in the Maintenance Department for Anheuser Busch (Staley's) for 31 years before retiring. He enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, and teaching these things to his grandson.


Surviving along with his wife, are two sons; Lawrence "Rusty" (wife: Amy) Clawson of Lafayette, and Mark Clawson of Cocoa, FL. Also surviving is one sister, Janet Sue (husband: Bill) Everett of Delphi; three grandchildren, Amanda Landreth, Alissa Clawson, Abe Clawson, and two great grandchildren; Elijah Landreth, and Olivia Landreth. Uncle Abe is also survived by several (brats) nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by one son, Erik Clawson, and four sisters, Julia Parrott, Betty Lauderdale, Patty Matthews, and Jo Lantz.
