William Kite - Class Of 1944

William Kite, 81, died at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2008, in his residence . Born Nov. 14, 1926, in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Edward and Louetta Hurley Kite, and was educated in Delphi schools. Mr. Kite had worked at Pioneer Seed Co. and enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the American Legion and was a Navy veteran. His marriage was on March 20, 1971, to Oma Stephens Spear in Van Buren. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Bill Kite (wife: Donna) of Royal Center and Bobby Kite of Indianapolis; two daughters, Barb Miller (husband: Gene) of Logansport and Jan Wilson (husband: Terry) of Marysville, Ohio; one stepson, James Spear (wife: Connie) of Roachdale; and three stepdaughters, Virginia Niece (husband: Phil), Betty McCollum (husband: Junior) and Marilyn Wagner, all of Crawfordvsille; and a sister, Ethel Robinson. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 6 brothers, a sister, a son, 1 grandson, a granddaughter, a stepdaughter.
