Nancy O. Richards, age 80, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 11:54 p.m., Friday, July 23, 2021, at her home surrounded by the love of her family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents James Perry and Enid C. (Trent) Rule.

Nancy earned her bachelor's degree from Indiana University School of Nursing and then her master's degree from the University of Evansville and enjoyed a fulfilling career as a nurse for almost 50 years. She taught at Deaconess School of Nursing as well as Henderson Community College. Nancy loved singing in the choir and playing the organ at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 55 years George R. Richards; daughter Linda Overfield and her husband John of Charleston, SC; sons Bryan Richards and his wife Sarah of Newburgh, IN and John Richards of Evansville, IN; sister Linda J. Mahrdt and her husband Kurt of Indianapolis, IN; brother Dr. Ned Perry Rule and his wife Lynn of Florida; grandchildren: Paige Richards and Connor & Grant Richards; and nieces and nephews.
