Floyd Viney

Floyd C. Viney, 58, of Norton, Va., formerly of Yeoman, died April 20, 1998, at his residence.
  He was the son of Frederick Carl and Donna Viney and was of the Methodist faith.
  A resident of Norton for eight years, he was employed as a bartender.
  He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.
  Surviving are three daughters, Rhonda Sue Phillips and Cora Hale, both of Gate City, Va., and Julie Woods of Norton; a son, Fred Viney of Gate City; five sisters, Phyllis Lee Cadwallader and Lois Pauline Turner, both of Monticello, Norma Jean Cauble of Chalmers, Nancy L. Norman of Monon, and Sheriel Ann Weaver of Idaville; four brothers, Harold Carson of Frankfort, Lloyd Charles and Roger Dean, both of Monticello, and Max Freerick Sr. of Riverside, Ohio; six grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren.
  Services were last Thursday.
