Carole Welch (Dilling)

Dr. Carole Welch Dilling, 44, of New York City, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1984 in St. Luke's Hospital there after a four-month battle with cancer.
  Born April 5, 1940, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Milford and Edna Ade Welch.
  Dr. Dilling was a psychotherapist in private practice with offices in New York City and Long Island.  She was a training supervisor at the Training Institute for Mental Health practitioners in New York City and was a member of American Psychological Association and of the Task Force on Women's Issues in Psychotherapy at the Training Institute.  Dr. Dilling was a member of Riverside Church in New York City and had been a member of the Pyrmont Church of the Brethren.  A 1958 graduate of Delphi High School and of Manchester College in 1962, she received the Ph. D. in psychology at Michigan State University.
  The Dillings moved to New York City in 1968.
  Surviving with the husband and mother, who resides at Rt. 4, Delpi, are two daughters, Anne-Marie and Alison, both at home; and two brothers, Richard and Myron Welch, both of rural Lafayette.
  Services will be tomorrow in Christ Chapel of Riverside Church in New York City, Friday services at 2 p.m. will be at the Pyrmont Church of the Brethren with Dan Riccius officiating.
  Burial will be in Spring Vale Cemetery at Lafayette.
  There will be calling hours at the church prior to the service at Pyrmont.
  Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society.
  Arrangements are by Horn Funeral Home of Delphi.
