Frank D. Whitfield, 60, of Camden, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday-February 28, 2024, at 2:18am, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, after a brief illness. He was born May 20, 1963, in Logansport, to the late Frank & Mary Lantz Whitfield. Frank was a 1982 graduate of Delphi High School. He worked for over 20 years at Walmart in Lafayette. Frank enjoyed working on cars, gardening, and loved to share his produce with his neighbors and friends, canning and baking. He enjoyed NASCAR and trips to the Indianapolis 500. He liked being outside, where he could practice his Nunchuck skills. Frank was a homebody, and loved to have his family over, sharing a meal, and just spending time together. He dearly loved them all. Surviving: daughter-Chelsea & Joseph Heckenlively of Otterbein, son-Zachary & Destini Whitfield of Camden, sister-Mary Stilson of West Lafayette, brother-Everett G. Whitfield Sr of Holt Summit, MO, brother-John & Karen Whitfield of Bringhurst, a grandson Elias Whitfield. He was preceded in death by a brother Mark. Services: Visitation will be Tuesday from 11am until his funeral service at 1:00pm, at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Pastor Paul Veldhuizen officiating. Burial at Camden Cemetery.
