He was who he was. He always said I am who I am you either like me or you don't. Tony was a good father to his kids and a loving husband. Wish he hadn't of decided to leave us when he did.  Submitted by Chris McPherson

 

Anthony P. "Tony" Jenkins, 22, of Rt. 1, Delphi died Sept. 21, 1988, at his residence.
  Born Oct. 4, 1965, in Lafayette, he was the son of Jerry and Sandra Isaacs Jenkins.
  He was a 1983 graduate of Delphi Community High School.
  His marriage was July 19, 1985, in Rockfield to Sherry Cox Veach, who survives.
  He was employed at DeJay Stinger Corp., Monticello, the last three months.  Previously, he had worked at Furrow in Lafayette and Essex Wire in Flora.
  He loved music and played in various country and western bands in this area.
  He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
  Surviving with his wife are one son, Parker Lee Jenkins; two step-children, Jessie Veach and Stacy Veach, Rockfield; his parents, of Rt. 1, Delphi; three sisters, Kim Minnicus, Tami Jenkins, and Lisa Jenkins, all of Delphi; his maternal grandmother, Edith Isaacs, Delphi; paternal step grandmother, Betty Jenkins, Flora, and paternal stepgreat-grandmother, Tereso Ruegamer of Danville, Ill.
  Services were Saturday at Horn Funeral Home with David Futrell officiating.  Burial was in Morning Heights Cemetery, Delphi.

Tony was a very loving husban and father. He always wanted people to be true to themselves. He loved the outdoors, singing and his family. He will beloved by his wife and children forever and a day.

Tony would be so very proud of both of his grandchildren, Angelika and Noah.  I'm sure he is watching over them from above.  Tony, you are missed everyday.  Love you brother!
