Eric T. Wise, 18, Rt. 3, Delphi, died Sunday, May 29, 1983, at 3:45 p.m. as the result of a cave-in along Deer Creek east of Delphi near Gish's bridge.
  A life-long Carroll County resident, he was born November 17, 1964, in Lafayette.  His parents are Wilbur and Sylvia Lane Wise.  They survive.
  A 1983 graduate of Delphi Community High School, he placed fourth out of the class of 131.  While in high school he was a member of National Honor Society, Hi-Y Club and high school band.  He was a Junior Rotarian and a delegate to Indiana Boy's State.
  Surviving with the parents are one sister, Linda Wise, at home, and three brothers, Roger with the U.S. Navy and Vernon and David, at home.
  Funeral services are today at 1:30 p.m. at Horn-Thompson Funeral Home, Delphi, with Rev. Donald Ashley officiating.  Burial will be in Morning Heights Cemetery.
