Bob Conner

I have been retired going on thirteen years which means a whole group of students, K-12, will have traveled through the Delphi Community School system since I left for the last time.

In 2001, Lois Powlen and I teamed up to sing gospel songs at First Presbyterian of Delphi, then found ourselves branching out to special events and healthcare facilities. Lois was a cancer victim in November of 2008, but I have continued to entertain into 2009 and maybe beyond.

Too many to recount, but I remember talking a girl down from one of the basketball supports once. She had gotten herself "high" and was threatening to jump head first onto the basketball floor.

I taught driver's ed for many years and only failed two students. One, constantly, could not remember to put the lever in drive to start the car moving and the other one could not keep the car on our side of the road without my hand on the wheel.
