Edna Grimm

 Edna R. Grimm, 80, of Delphi, died at midnight, March 14, 2001, in Home Hospital, Lafayette.
  Born Sept. 28, 1920, in Ottawa, Ill., she was the daughter of Louie J. and Ermina-Gray LaVanway.  She married Edward R. "Jack" Grimm on Jan. 28,1946, in Ottawa,and he died Feb. 18, 1961.
  In 1987, she retired from Delphi Community School Corporation.  She was a teacher 26 years and chairman of the business department at Delphi Community High School.  She also taught at Cutler School for two years and in Minonk, Ill., for three years.
  Mrs. Grimm was a 1938 graduate of Ottawa Township High School.  She earned a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University in 1942 and a master's degree from Purdue University in 1975.  She also completed graduate work at Ball State University, where she received a vocational education license in 1974.
  Mrs. Grimm was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Delphi, where she was an elder and a former clerk of session, and a member and former treasurer of Presbyterian Women.  She was a member and past president of Delta Kappa Gamma honorary teacher society, and member of Tri Kappa Associate Chapter, Job's Daughters and Eastern Star in Ottawa, Delphi Classroom Teachers Association, and Indiana Retired Teachers Association.
  Surviving are three sons, E. Joseph "Joe" Grimm of Delphi, Karl R. Grimm of San Rafael, Calif., and Thomas A. Grimm of Greenwood; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
  Services were Monday at Davidson Funeral Home with Rev. Ellis Gasser officiating.  Burial was in Masonic Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund for Sunday services.
