I only knew Mr. Handlin for a short amout of time, but was touched by his kindness and caring.  I truly appeciated the enthusiasm and positive attitude that he brought to the high school.  As I considered pursuing a career in administration, he was the one who epitomized the characteristics I wanted to strive for in being a school leader.  Even after returning to DCHS, he welcomed me back with a warm smile, big hug and a genuine interest in my life.  I am truly blessed to have met Mr. Handlin.
