Jim Sullivan

  James A. Sullivan, 80, of Camden, died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 1998, in his residence.
  Born February 19, 1917, in Camden, he was the son of Oscar D. and Clura A. Burns Sullivan.  He was married December 11, 1937, in Kokomo, to Fern Helen Collins, who survives.
  A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy from April 6, 1944, until February 12, 1946.
  Sullivan was retired after 38 years as a building contractor.  In 1974 he became the Building Trades Instructor at Delphi Community Schools, and worked there until May 1985.
  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Camden, Mt. Zion Lodge 211 F & A.M. Camden Legion Post 413, and Camden Community Club.
  Surviving are two sons, James R. Sullivan and Thomas W. Sullivan both of Batesville; two brothers, Ralph D. Sullivan of Delphi, and Joe B. Sullivan of Franklin, Tenn., and Roxport, Texas; one sister, Wilna Mae Kahl, of Spring Branch Texas; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
  Services were held Monday at the First Baptist Church of Camden with the Rev. Ray Herriman and the Rev. Richard Recher officiating.  Burial was in the Camden Cemetery.
  Cree Funeral Home, Camden, was in charge of arrangements.
