Donald Haines

  Donald Joe Haines, 37, formerly of Delphi and Lafayette, died at 11 a.m. Aug. 29, 1991, at Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis.
  Born April 16, 1954, in Puerto Rico, he was the son of Carl Leroy and Beverly J. Hanaway Haines.
  He was a 1972 graduate of Delphi Community High School.
  He had worked as a cook at various Lafayette restaurants.
  Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Beverly and Harry Hamelman of Delphi; his father and stepmother, Carl and Jumpee Haines of Cape Coral, Fla.; three brothers, MSGT Dough Haines, stationed at Ramstein AFB, Germany; Charles Haines and Steven Haines, both of Delphi; and two half sisters, Beverly Hamelman Kemp of Delphi and Sue Haines of Cape Coral.
  Private family services were held Sunday at Camden Cemetery with Pastor Chester Ash officiating.  Horn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mary Weaver (1972)

Even though we were not dating, I went to Senior Prom with "Joe."  What I remember most about him was his acting talent.  He deserved better than a short life, tragically ended.
