Lester Klopfenstein - Class Of 1972

Lester Klopfenstein

Lester K. Klopfenstein, 68, of Rockfield, passed away Thursday-October 14, 2021 at 2am, unexpectedly at his home. He was born October 10, 1953 in Wolcott, to his late father Lester C. Klopfenstein, and his mother Martha B. Collins Klopfenstein Stefaniak. His marriage was to Diana K. Yoder at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Delphi, on April 16, 1972, and she survives. He was a 1972 graduate of Delphi Community High School. He worked for The Anderson's Grain Elevator in maintenance for 30 years, retiring in 2008. He was an avid Mopar car enthusiast. Buying, restoring, and selling many 60's and 70's Mopar muscle cars. He enjoyed showing them at car shows, and won many awards on his cars. He even had one featured in a car magazine, noting the many hours of hard work he had in it. He also enjoyed motorcycles. Buying, fixing them up, and selling them as well. He and his wife enjoyed going to Antique stores and sales. Always willing to barter on a good find with the owner over the selling price. He loved his pet cat's, and shared that love with his grandkids.  Lester and his wife always attended their grandchildren's school functions and sporting events. A proud grandpa of all of them, and the loudest cheering section, for whatever game his grandchild was playing. His greatest joy was for his family. He and his wife did everything together. If you saw one, you saw the other by their side. He loved to have his children and grandchildren at his house for a meal or celebration. He dearly loved them all. Surviving: wife-Diana K.
