Rick J. Acheson, of Delphi, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at his home.
He was born March 15, 1955 in Logansport, IN, to Wayne Acheson and Marilyn (Popejoy) Collins. Rick was a 1973 graduate of Delphi High School. He worked for Globe Valve Corp in Delphi for many years before working as a Field Technician for Con Agriculture the past 4 years.
On September 28, 1974 he married Debra A. Lucas in Delphi and she survives.
Rick was a member and two-time past president of the Lions Club. He enjoyed golfing, listening to music and Christmas with his family. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Along with is wife, Debra, he is survived by his two daughters: Dawn (Brad) Kopf of Pendleton and Carrie (Brandon Allen) Acheson of Delphi; mother Marilyn Collins of Delphi, sister Cynthia “Cindy” (Harold) Denton of Flora and Melinda “Mindy” (Mark) Wilson of Camden; and five grandchildren: Ashlyn Kopf, Braydon Acheson, Kaydence Allen, Emersyn Kopf and Ivy Allen. He is also survived by his beloved dog Frosty and cat Spiderman.
He is preceded in death by his father, Wayne and step-father Bill Collins.
Visitation will be held from 10am – 11am Monday, April 19, 2021 at Hippensteel Funeral Home and Tribute Center – 405 Cottage St., Delphi, IN. Funeral service will begin at 11am with Pastor Brent Oliver Officiating. Interment will follow at Pittsburgh I.O.O.F. Current Covid-19 precautions will be observed along with social distancing.
