Sidney Boles, Jr.

Sidney N. Boles Jr., 57, of 10922 N. County Road 850 West, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at 12:38 a.m., at IU Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. He had been in ill health the past two weeks and a patient at the hospital. He was born Feb 15, 1955, in Kokomo, to the late Sidney N. Boles Sr., and his mother and step father Helena L. Fields Smith, husband Larry John, of West Point. His marriage was to Audrey S. Moore on her grandparents Vaughan farm, rural Carroll County, on May 5, 1984, and she survives.

He graduated from Delphi High School in 1973 and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp, serving 4 years, stationed at Quantico, VA. He worked at the former Gerber Globe Valve Corp., Delphi, for over 25 years, and currently at Custom Alloy Products, South of Delphi in maintenance for the past seven years. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and being at home with his family.

Surviving along with his wife, Audrey S. Boles, of Delphi, are his daughter, Casandra L. Boles, of Delphi; two sons, Charles J. Boles and Jesse L. Boles, both of Lafayette; two brothers, Jeff Boles and David Boles, both of Lafayette; and sister, Becky Boles, of Lafayette; and mother and step father, Helena and Larry John Smith, of West Point.

Preceded in death by a brother, Terry.

Family and friends may call Thursday from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi. Private family interment.
