Linda Sue Hood, 70, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024.

She was born on September 17, 1953 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Albert Newton and Gerldine Mae (Wamsher) Tharp.

Linda graduated from Delphi High School in 1972.

Her first marriage was to Bill Green and they later divorced. Linda's second marriage was to Larry Elsie and he preceded her in death. Her third marriage was to Richard Hood and they later divorced.

Linda was a homemaker. She watched Jimmy Swaggart on television every Sunday and enjoyed reading her Bible, drinking her coffee, spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and listening to music, especially her son Mike's music.

Surviving are her sons, Michael (Rendi) Tharp, Joshua (Ashley) Hood, and Travis Hood, all of Lafayette; her sister, Peggy Richie of Radnor, IN; her grandchildren, Taylor (Dalton) May and Sarah Crume; her step grandchildren, Gracious Olsen and Noah Olsen; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Imogene Daniel, Alberta Blackman, and Debra Hardy.

A Service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 7 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Trent O'Brien officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
