Debra A. Acheson, 68, of Delphi, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, April 11, 2025, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. Born on August 28, 1956, in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Edna Jean (Curtis) Lucas. Debra was a 1973 graduate of Delphi High School.

She married Ricky Acheson on September 28, 1974, and they shared many years together until his passing on April 12, 2021.

 Debra is survived by her loving daughters, Dawn (J.J.) Kopf of Pendleton and Carrie Acheson of Delphi. She was a cherished grandmother to Ashlyn, Braydon, Kaydence, Emersyn, Jaydan, and Ivy, and a great-grandmother to Charlene. Her siblings, Ruth (George) Isley, Diane Spurgeon, Sherri (Tim) Shoemaker, and Elaine (Ron) Golden, also survive her.

In addition to her husband and parents, Debra was predeceased by her brother, Larry Lucas. Private services will be held at a later date. Please consider memorial donations made to the family to help offset funeral costs.
