Larry E. Lucas, 58, of Delphi, died unexpectedly Tues.-May 24, 2016 at 3:20pm at his residence. He was born Dec. 19, 1957 in Lebanon, to the late Kenneth & Edna Curtis Lucas. He was a 1976 graduate of Delphi High School. He received his BS in Chemistry from Purdue University, West Laf., where he also was a member of the Navy ROTC. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, Lt Commander, Weapons Specialist, serving for 16 years. He worked for 20 years at The Anderson's Grain Elevator, Delphi, in environmental safety. He enjoyed reading, camping, and John Wayne westerns. Surviving: sons: Michael A. Lucas & Kristen Thomas of Lafayette, Jacob R. Lucas of Tacoma, WA; sisters: Ruth & George Isley & Debbie & Rick Acheson both of Delphi, Diane Spurgeon, Sherri & Tim Shoemaker, Elaine & Ronald Golden, all of Lebanon. Services: A graveside service will be held Saturday at 1:30pm at IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg. Military Rites by the Carroll County Honor Guard.
