Jason F. "Fred" Stewart, 46, of 9042 N. 100 E. Delphi, in the town of Burrows, died at 1:15 a.m. on April 23, 2005, at his residence.  He had battled cancer since he was diagnosed July 30, 2004.
  Born in Logansport on Feb. 14, 1959, he was the son of Jason and Catherine Graf Stewart.  He waw a 1977 graduate of Delphi Community High School.
  His marriage was to Carol L. Appleton in Clymers on June 14, 1986, and she survives.
  Mr. Stewart worked at Matthew-Warren Manufacturing in Logansport as a spring coiler for 28 years.
  He enjoyed coaching his son's baseball team, mushroom hunting, swimming, and Purdue men's sports.  He was a loving husband and father.
  He was preceded in death by his father.
  Surviving with his wife are two sons, Jason J. Stewart and Ty M. Stewart, both at home; a daughter, Kylie N. Stewart, at home; his mother, Catherine Stewart of Burrows; a brother Mark L. Stewart of Burrows; a sister, Marla K. Young (husband: Scott Eakins) of Logansport; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Joe and Shelby Appleton of Logansport.
  Services were April 26 at Abbott Funeral Home, with burial at St. John Cemetery in rural Cass County.
  Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
