Richard Lee Rick Walters, Jr.. 58, of rural Delphi, died unexpectedly Mon., Feb. 20, 2017 at his residence.

He was born Feb 2, 1959 in Lafayette, to Richard Lee “Dick” & Sally A. Hanaway Walters, who survive and reside in Rockfield.

He was a 1977 graduate of Delphi Community High School, and received his welding certification from Ivy Tech in Lafayette. He worked for Delphi Body Works, since 1978, and helped Jerry Minnicus on his farm. He helped coach Camden Little League Baseball for many years, until his daughter started playing softball, then helped coach her teams. He enjoyed deer hunting, and just being outdoors. He restored antique gas pumps, and also liked to restore and work on older Oliver tractors. He loved to go to local area tractor pulls.

Surviving: daughter-Brianna L. Walters of rural Bringhurst; parents-Richard “Dick” & Annie Walters of Rockfield; brothers-Popeye Walters & Russell Walters both of Delphi.
