Christina R. Daly, age 58, died on Monday September 3, 2018 surrounded by family and friends at her home in Lakewood, Colorado. Chris was born in Lafayette Indiana to Joseph R. (Dick) Daly and Julia A. (Hubertz) Daly. She had six sisters and two brothers. Chris enjoyed track, cross country, and basketball while she was growing up competing on teams at Delphi Community High School. She was a teacher in the Denver Public Schools and the author of three books published on Amazon. After completing High School, Chris attended Northern Arizona University for a bachelors degree and Walden University and Regis University for two masters degrees. Chris was preceded in death by her parents and her older brother Mike. Chris is survived by her husband of 35 years Greg Curwen, her two daughters Emma Curwen and Cara Curwen, her grandson Tristan Curwen, and her son-in-law Jay Nielsen Chris is also survived by her siblings: Mary Daly (Nick Wilhem), Susan Daly, Jo Ann Carr, Maureen Parker, Brenda Daly, Sara Daly Brosman (Scott) and Greg Daly. Chris will be remembered as a caring and giving wife, mother, and friend who was known for her humor, compassion and honesty. Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Chris’s life on Saturday, November 17 from 2:00-3:30 at the Delphi Opera House (109 S. Washington Street, Delphi, IN). Chris’s family would like to thank the caregivers at the Denver Hospice for their help and support during the final months of Chris’s illness.
