Rowland H. "Rusty" Tustin, 36, of 11929 W. Tecumseh Bend Road, Brookston, died at 8:46 p.m. Nov. 9, 1996, at his home.
  Born Nov. 16, 1959, in Lafayette, he was the son of Herbert P. and Selma L. Reeder Tustin.  His marriage was on Jan. 20, 1993, in Las Vegas, Nev., to Karen K. Knoebel, who survives.
  A 1979 graduate of Delphi Community High School, he was a member of Local 274 of the Laborers and Hod Carriers Union of Lafayette.
  He attended Pike Creek Church of the Brethren in Monticello.  An outdoorsman, he was an avid fisherman and hunter.
  Also surviving are one son, Colton V. Tustin, at home; his mother and stepfather, Lin and Clyde Bridge of Monticello; a brother, Fred Laber of Rockfield; a sister, Melodie Chainey of Lafayette; and four stepsisters, Marty Duff of Delphi, Judy Wagner of Findlay, Ohio, and Rosalyn Hahn and Janet Sellers, both of Logansport.  He was preceded in death by his father.
  A memorial service was held Tuesday evening at Abbott Funeral Home with Rev. Claude Stogsdill officiating.  A private family burial was held.
  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren.
