Linda Bowen (Connaway)

Linda S. Connaway, 65, of Deer Creek, died at 12:25 p.m. March 16, 2007, at Howard Community Hospital, Kokomo.
  Born Aug. 10, 1941, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Willard R. and Mary A. Clem Bowen.  She graduated from Delphi High School in 1959.  On Aug. 21, 195, in Burrows, she married Donald M. Connaway, who survives.
  Mrs. Connaway was employed as a transcriptionist at Howard Community Hospital, retiring in 1998.
  She was a member and elder of Deer Creek Presbyterian Church where she also played the piano and organ.
  She gave piano lessons for many years and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
  Surviving with her husband are one son, John Connaway (wife: Trish) of Logansport; two daughters, Jo Anne Skelton (husband: Bob) of Flora and Janet Fowler of Elkhart; a brother, Wayne Bowen of West Chester, Ohio; four grandsons, Christopher Fowler, Matthew Fowler, Jayce Connaway, and Zach Wagner; and three granddaughter, Tara Skelton, Stephanie Connaway, and Kaitlyn Connaway.
  She was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Skelton; her father, who died Feb. 19, 1966, and her mother, who died Nov. 22, 1994.
  Services were held Monday at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church.  The Rev. Ronald Elly officiated and burial was at Hopewell Cemetery, Deer Creek.

  Cree Funeral Home, Camden, was in charge of arrangements.
