Dave Abbott

 David Allen Abbott, 60, of 505 North Jefferson St., Silver Lake, died unexpectedly at 2:35 a.m. April 23, 2001, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
  Born April 5, 1941, in Benton County, he was the son of Coy T. and Mable Claunch Abbott.  His marriage was to Joan A. Sneathen in Delphi on Sept. 17, 1960, and she survives.
  He retired from the former Hometown Federal Savings Bank in Delphi, and was the owner of D&J Antiques in Silver Lake for the past 17 years.
  A 1959 graduate of Delphi High School, he also attended classes in finance and insurance.
  He was a licensed private pilot, and was an avid golfer.
  Also surviving are one daughter, Melissa L. Hull of Palm Springs, Calif.; two sons, Jeff Abbott of Silver Lake and Scott Abbott of Dayton, Ohio; one brother, Arnold Abbott of Delphi; three sisters, Fern "Jackie" Stiever of Elkhart, Louise Comer of Mulberry, and Geneva Dowell of Lafayette; and four grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one grandson, one sister, and three brothers.
  Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi, with the Rev. Ed Selvidge officiating. Burial will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.  Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
