Janice Black (Gaither)

Janice Carol Gaither, 37, of Rt. 1, Bringhurst, died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 1979, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
  She had been in poor health six months.
  Born July 26, 1941, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Kenneth R. and Helen Maxine Davis Black.  She was married May 29, 1950, to Earnest L. Gaither, who survives.
  A life-time resident of Carroll County, she was a member of the Burlington United Methodist Church.
  Surviving with the husband are two sons, Daniel L. and Jeffrey Gaither, both at home; her mother and step-father, Mrs. and Mrs. Richard Sines of Arcadia, Fla.; her father and step-mother; Mrs. and Mrs. Kenneth H. Black of Arcadia; two brothers, Jackie Black of Arcadia and Kenneth Wade Black of Los Vegas, Nev., and the maternal grandmother, Mildred Davis of Flora.
  Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Neptune Funeral Home, Burlington, with the Rev. Ralph P. Karstedt officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
