Mrs. Russell D. Chapman nee Veronica Kaye Payne of Fredericksburg, Texas passed away in the Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas on Sunday, January 30th, 2011 at the age of 38 years. She was born April 28th, 1972 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Phillip Payne and Judith Kaye Warren Payne, married Russell May 30th, 1992. Veronica was a substitute teacher, while trying to finish up her college in education.

Veronica is survived by the following, her husband, Russell Chapman of Fredericksburg

Two sons, one daughter, Tyler Lee, Landin Dean, and Darian Alyssa

Her mother, Judith Kaye Kerkhove

Mother in law, Sandra Mummert

Three brothers, Mark, Matthew Payne and Charles Kerkhove all of Indiana

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 4th, 2011 at 4:00 P. M. in the Bethany Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg, with Pastor Steven Qualben officiating.

As per her wishes Veronica will be cremated and the family will hold private disposition of her cremains.

Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in her memory to the Women’s Christian Job Corp. of Kerrville, Texas, or to the charity of their choice.
