DELPHI -- Gerard J. "Jerry" Hanna, 69, of Indianapolis, formerly of Delphi, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005. Born in Indianapolis, he was raised in Delphi and was a 1954 graduate of Delphi High School. He was also a 1958 graduate of DePauw University, where he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.

Mr. Hanna served as first lieutenant in the Navy and served in Vietnam. He received a Bronze Star with Combat V, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Air Medal.

He worked as an investment broker with Smith Barney for many years.

He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and Nora Sertoma.

Surviving is a sister Sharon L. O'Farrell (husband: James P.).
