Robert C. "Bob" Landis, 64, of Lafayette, died unexpectedly at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 22, 2000, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Emergency Room.
  Born Feb. 7, 1936, in Carroll County, he was the son of Robert M. and Gladys May Alford Landis.  His marriage was to Beverley A. Richardson on Sept. 25, 1955, in Delphi, and she survives.
  He was president of Landis Services, Inc. for 20 years, in agriculture and commercial construction.
  He was a 1954 graduate of Delphi High School and attended Wabash College, where he played football and was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity.
  Mr. Landis was a member of Federated Church of West Lafayette, serving on the mission board, and a former member of Elk's Lodge #143 in West Lafayette.
  He also was a high school football official for several years and enjoyed fishing, sports, and playing golf.
  Also surviving are two daughter, Diane Ket of Brownsburg and Connie Clawson of Delphi; two brothers, James Landis of Hartford City and Russell "Russ" Landis of Delphi; a sister Debra Guckien of Camden; and five grandchildren.  One son preceded him in death.
  Services were held Monday at Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi with the Rev. Gary L. Reif officiating.  Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette.
  Memorials may be made to the Michael J. Landis College Fund.
