George O. McGuire, 88, of Denver, Indiana passed away on July 25, 2024 in Wabash, Indiana. He was born in Cass County, IN. on March 20, 1936, the son of Chester McGuire and Anna Edging. George married Linda Green in Tippecanoe County, Indiana on April 23, 1966, and she survives. George served in the United States Army and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church. He enjoyed spending his time fishing and was a member of the Teamsters. Surviving in addition to his wife of 58 years, Linda, are his sons, Kevin Hostetler (Hayley) of Denver, IN, and Richard McGuire of West Lafayette, grandchildren, Dariene Popejoy (Tyler) of Flora, IN, Jaden McGuire (Karter Fuller), of Flora, IN, Zac Hostetler (Marisa) of Peru, IN, and Kevin Hostetler (Ariel) of Peru, IN, 11 great-grandchildren, and nephews, Jeff Schnepp, Steve Schnepp, and Mike Schnepp. George was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Jack, and his sister, Ruth Schnepp. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 A.M., Monday, August 12, 2024 at Woodville Cemetery in Burrows, Indiana with Pastor Wayne Balmer officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Carroll County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Veterans Association, the American Heart Association or Dementia Friends Indiana.
