Jerry Sneathen

Jerry T. Sneathen, 80, of Delphi, died Thurs-Oct 27, 2016 at 2:42pm at IU Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. He was born June 25, 1936 in Pittsburg, to the late John & Josephine Archibald Sneathen. His marriage was to Dianna L. Jennings in Delphi, on Sept 2, 1962, and she survives. He was a 1954 graduate of Delphi High School. He served for 9 years in the Indiana National Guard. He worked for 35 years at Fairfield Manufacturing in Lafayette, as a trucker, retiring in 1995. He and his wife attended the Radnor United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Delphi American Legion Post 75, the Lafayette Coin Club, and the Wildcat Valley Rifle & Pistol Club. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed boating, shooting sports, traveling, hiking off the beaten path, mushroom hunting, and motorcycle riding. He dearly loved his wife and family. Surviving: wife-Dianna L. Sneathen of Delphi; daughter-Darla & Dean Kenyon of Goshen; sisters: Darlene & John Heffley of Ockley, Joan Abbott of Thousand Palms, CA, Dianna & Phil Woollen of Lafayette. 3 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren survive. Services: friends may call Sunday from 4-7pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Funeral service there Monday 11am, Rev. Ed Selvidge officiating. Burial at Ever Rest Memorial Park Cemetery, rural Logansport. Memorial contributions to the Radnor United Methodist Church, envelopes available at the funeral home.
