Raymond Heise

Raymond Wayne Heise, 76, of Burrows, died unexpectedly Mon.-June 30, 2014 at 2:20am at his residence. He was born Oct. 13, 1937 in Logansport, to the late Madison Ray & Mary Alice Smith Heise. His marriage was to Elizabeth A. "Betty" Berkshire Heise, in Delphi, on Nov. 8, 1957 and she survives. He was a 1955 graduate of Delphi High School. He worked for Essroc near Logansport for 37 years, retiring from there, and for over 40 years had Heise Welding Service at his home. He was gifted in welding and fabrication, and liked engineering different projects that people brought to him. He was a member of Frist Assembly of God Church in Pittsburg, and formerly attended the Burrows Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge in Delphi. He enjoyed model airplane construction and loved to fly his AC planes. He also owned a couple of ultra light aircraft and enjoyed flying them to. He liked to play golf, fish, boat, and camp. He dearly loved his family, and the good Lord. Surviving: wife-Betty Heise of Burrows; daughters: Corrina Sue Carrillo & Clemente Carrillo of Logansport, Janet & Dean Minor of Delphi, Lorraine & Dave Kauffman of Delphi; sons: Sam & Jean Heise of Rockfield, Leonard & Julie Heise of Kokomo. 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren survive. Preceded by a half brother Herb. Services: Friends may call Wednesday from 4-8pm at Abbott Funeral Home-Delphi, service there Thursday at 11am, Pastor Brent Oliver officiating.
