Jeanette “Jeannie” ( Whiteman) Silva, 81, of Homosassa, Fla., went to be with her Lord and Savior

Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, peacefully at her residence.

Jeannie was born March 26, 1937, in Ockley, Ind., to Russell and Fern (Jackson) Whiteman. She was a graduate of Delphi High School. Her marriage was in Lafayette, Ind., to Dr. LeRoy Silva; he preceded her in death on June 23, 2018.

She worked and retired from Brummett Electric in Lafayette, Ind.

She is survived by her child, Jeffrey Maxwell Sr. of Homosassa; sister, Sandra (Whiteman) Phillips of Lafayette; grandchildren, Jeffrey Maxwell Jr. (Michelle) of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Jade Maxwell Humphrey (Victor) of Delphi; and her five great-grandchildren.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Jeannie loved spending time with her family, was an avid Doberman lover, and a White Sox and Purdue fan. She enjoyed crocheting and sitting by her pool.
