Catherine Farner McHaffie, 58, of Delphi, was found dead in her home on Thursday morning, Nov. 14, 1996.
   Born May 22, 1938, in Delphi, she was the daughter of Francis "Gene" and Mildred McKay Farner.  She married William McHaffie, who preceded her in death.
   She was an aide at Heritage Healthcare Center in West Lafayette for six years and later worked in the laundry department at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi.
   She graduated from Delphi High School in 1956 and attended Purdue University.
   Surviving are two sisters, Mary Margaret Oliver of Madrid, Spain, and Linda Farner of Delphi, and a brother, Larry Farner of Delphi.  She was preceded in death by one son.
   Graveside services were held Saturday at Morning Heights Cemetery, Delphi, with Pastor Paul Mullikin officiating.  Horn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
