Betty Jean Sprague, 82, of Delphi passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020 at her residence.
She was born March 23, 1937 in Bone Cave, TN. She was the eighth child of ten children born to Walter and Minnie (Banker) Cole.
On July 10, 1955 she married Harold Sprague at the United Methodist Church in Delphi. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1990.
Betty Jean worked for the Delphi Community School Corporation as a Teacher’s Aide for 29 years. She was a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed playing bridge, cooking, catering, being with friends and especially being with family.
Surviving are her children: son Brad Sprague of Bloomington, IN, son Bart (wife Kelly) Sprague of Avon, daughter Erin (husband Dave) Fassnacht of Rockfield and Laurie Kinzie of Lafayette. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband Harold, she is preceded in death by her parents, nine brothers and sisters, and son David Brian Sprague.
Memorial visitation will be from 3pm – 4pm Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Hippensteel Funeral Home and Tribute Center – 405 Cottage St. Delphi, IN. Memorial Service will begin 4pm with Pastor Todd Ladd officiating. A celebration of Betty Jean’s Life will immediately follow the memorial service with food and fellowship with the family at the Tribute Center.
