Patricia Crowder (Measels)

August 15, 2022 Delphi Patricia Measels, 83, Delphi, went to be with her Lord, Monday, August 15, 2022 at Rosewalk Village in Lafayette. She was born October 19, 1938, in Delphi, Indiana, the daughter of Perry and Eulala (Martin) Crowder in Delphi. She was a 1956 graduate of Delphi High School. She was a member of the Delphi Baptist Church. She retired from the Indiana Veterans Affairs of Carroll County in 2005. Patty enjoyed working in her flower gardens, feeding “her” birds and geese. She loved singing, dancing and especially listening to Glenn Miller Orchestra and The Big Bands. She loved her family and spending time with them, her door was always open! Patty never knew a stranger, if she met you then you was considered her friend. She and her friend Bob delivered many food baskets that they put together themselves for Veterans and residents of Carroll County. If Patty saw you were in need and she could, she would fill that need. Survivors include her grandchildren, Rich White, Culver, Jessica (Dane) Johnson, Plymouth, Colton Measels, Monterey; great-grandchildren, Maxwell White, Laporte, Jaycee Johnson, Plymouth; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Banks, Plymouth; brothers, Don Crowder (Connie), Delphi, Rick Crowder (Tammy), Harrogate, TN; Sister, Deb (Bob) Randolph, Delphi; nieces, Terri (Gary) Flora, Delphi; Tracy (Scott) Pearson, Camden; Tricia Baker companion Art Dumas, Flora, Courtney (Joel) Pugh-Leslie County Kentucky, Joy (Ian) Pollert, Wylie, Texas; nephews, Scott Akers companion Tonya, Lafayette, Christian Crowder-Harrogate, TN, Anthony (Kristina) Spitznagle, Frankfort; great-nieces, Meagan Kelly, Taylor Anderson, Ashley Akers, Payton Flora, Harley Akers; great-nephews, Jeff, Quinton , Eric, Daniel, Dylan and many great-great-nieces and nephews and her special buddy, great-great niece Serenity, who helped take care of “Aunt Paddy". She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brad Measels; daughter, Lori White; brother, Dale Crowder; sisters-in-law, Phyllis, and Charlotte Crowder; nephews, Eric Akers, and Ken Spitznagle. A gathering followed by memorial service will take place on Friday, August 26th at Lockport Church, Burnettsville, Indiana, calling 5-6, service at 6. Pastor Nord Zootman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Research in Patty’s name. Indiana Funeral Care, Indianapolis, IN is entrusted with the arrangements.
