ARLENE E. WEISS, 69, of Mansfield, died Saturday afternoon, July 28, 2007, at MedCentral Hospital.

Born April 14, 1938, in Marion, Indiana. She was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, James Weiss; seven children, Debby, Arthur, Mike, Kathy, Michele, Dottie, and Carol; six step-children, Jim, Ron, Tim, Jamie, Carla, and Kandi; 32 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy; and two sisters, Gayle and Doris.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three grandchildren, James Layland III, Carl Layland, and Dylan Foncannon.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Frank E. Moore. Burial will follow in Lantz Cemetery.
