Charles Lybrook

Charles E. Lybrook, 83, passed away on August 19, 2022 at St. Mary Healthcare Center in Lafayette. Charles was born on Aug. 29, 1938 in Pittsburg, IN to the late William H. and Cora Marie (Ghere) Lybrook He was a 1956 graduate of Delphi High School. He served in the US Navy from Feb. 1957 – Feb. 1961 as an Air Controller 2 in Newfoundland.

He married Rose Mary Cook on May 6, 1962 at the Pittsburg Church of the Brethren and she survives.

He retired as a dept. foreman for Globe Valve Manufacturing in Delphi.

He was a member of the Living Faith Church of the Brethren and also attended the Lafayette Church of the Brethren.

Charles enjoyed remodeling homes, reading books and his annual trip to the Warner Air Force Museum in Robins, GA meeting friends and touring planes.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary, his son, Neal Lybrook of Anaheim, CA, sister, Linda Whitman of Tucson, AZ, and his grandchildren: Nash Lybrook, Nyles Lybrook, Shanara Hou (Quincy) and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by Rose Kirby, Becky Brooks, Dorothy Draper, Hazel Lybrook, 2 infant brothers and his twin infant daughters and infant son.

Friends and Family will gather to share memories from 2:00 pm until the 3:00 pm memorial service at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi. Pastor Steven Crain will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in the Masonic Cemetery, Delphi.

Memorial contributions in Charles’s memory may be made to the Living Faith or Lafayette Church of the Brethren.
