Max Fredrick Viney, age 79 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Kindred Hospital. He was born January 20, 1938, in Yeoman, Indiana to the late Fred and Donna Viney. Max proudly served his country for 9 years in the U.S. Army and 12 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1977. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he worked for the Colony Club of Dayton for many years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved to fly remote control airplanes in his younger years. He enjoyed yearly fishing trips to Dale Hollow, TN with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mitsuko Viney and siblings, Norma Cauble, Harold Viney, Lois Turner, Roger Viney, Lloyd Viney and Floyd Viney. Max is survived by his son, Max F. Viney, Jr. and sisters, Phyllis Cadwalader and Sheryl Weaver.
