James Ward - Class Of 1957

James Ward, 24, of Pasadena, Texas, former Delphi resident, was fatally shot Saturday night in that city by a along-standing acquaintance.  No details are available as to the circumstances surrounding the killing.
  Ward left Delphi about six years ago and had been engaged in construction and welding work.  He graduated from high school here.
  He is survived by the father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ward of Houston, Texas, four brothers; Silas of Delphi, Kenneth E. of Riverton, New Jersey, Raymond D. of Georgetown, Illinois; and one sister Meredith Y. Love, Pasadena, Texas.
  The body arrived in Delphi Tuesday midnight.  Funeral services will be today (Thursday) from the Pilgrim Holiness Church at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. O.D. Williams and Rev. George Blice conducting the services.  Jackson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Burial will be in New Richmond Cemetery.
